Director T.S. Directed by Gnanavle, the film ‘Jai Beam’, based on a true story set in the 90s starring actor Surya, was released and was well received by the fans. The film ‘Jay Beam’ also sparked controversy by claiming that it misrepresented certain communities. However, many Tamil Nadu chief ministers, political party leaders and cinema fans praised the film ‘Jai Beam’.
In this regard, director Shankar has praised ‘Jai Beam’. He tweeted, “‘Jay Beam’ is a voice for the voiceless. The director’s realistic approach is commendable. Surya’s compassion for the community beyond acting. Powerful films have once again proven to bring about tremendous change.”
