The legendary actor Bruce Willis celebrated his 68th birthday today, but for the first time the event is happy mixed with his deteriorating condition due to the severe dementia he suffered. The event is of course also a cloud for his family, said his partner Emma Willis Hemming in a video on Instagram today.
Last month it was revealed that Willis has frontotemporal dementia (FTD). To relieve some of the pressure, her mother took to her Instagram to update fans on the condition of the immortal Living Dead star. But today she openly shared her emotional state for the first time.

But I’m also raising two kids, so sometimes in our lives, we have to wear our big girl underwear, and that’s what I do. But I have times of sadness every day, sorrow every day, and I really feel it today on his birthday.” .
Her mother said her emotions welled up while she was making an Instagram video celebrating her husband’s birthday. “I don’t know why I do this to myself because the videos are like a knife in my heart,” she admitted to her fans. “But as much as I do it for myself, I do it for you because I know how much you love my husband—don’t cry, Emma—but it means so much to me, so thank you.”
