The work of a group of Palestinian and Syrian plastic artists combined with the work of the cartoonist Yemeni Kamal Sharaf this evening in the People’s Hall within an art exhibition entitled (Unity of Squares).
The exhibition, which was held by the Union of Palestinian Artists in cooperation with the Union of Syrian Plastic Artists, included 20 caricatures by the artist Sharaf, through which he embodied the racism and barbarism of the United States and the Zionist enemy against the Arab peoples.
The other 20 plastic paintings by the participating artists came in a variety of styles, techniques and themes, dominated by details and vocabulary of the ancient Canaanite heritage and civilization, along with the immortal Palestinian antiquities and monuments.
About the exhibition, the Yemeni ambassador to Syria, Abdullah Sabri, said in a statement to SANA reporter: The title of the exhibition is the unity of the squares embodying the unity of the axis of resistance against the Zionist-American project in the region, and the works of the exhibition came to express the unity of destiny for our societies in the axis of resistance.
In turn, the plastic artist Moataz Al-Omari, Secretary of the Palestinian Plastic Artists Union, explained that the preparation for the exhibition was three months ago, under the supervision of the president of the union, the late plastic artist Abdel Moti Abu Zaid, to express the unity of the Arab wound in Yemen, Palestine and Syria through art, indicating that the Yemeni artist could not attend the exhibition because of Special circumstances prevented him from traveling.
For his part, the plastic artist Ghassan Ghanem, Secretary of the Syrian Plastic Artists Union, pointed out that the exhibition shows that the Arab nation is one and lives in the same situation, stressing that the axis of resistance is one hand in resistance and art.
