As part of the fight against drug trafficking, detectives from the Sarat police station were conducting an operation on Hagadod Havri street. During the operation, a suspect noticed the detectives approaching and began to swallow the drugs he had in his mouth. This caused him to start choking. The detectives acted quickly and called for medical assistance, administering CPR until help arrived. Sadly, the 61-year-old suspect was pronounced dead at Ichilov Hospital, where he was taken for treatment. An investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
During the activity of the Sarat police station detectives as part of the fight against the scourge of drug trafficking, this evening (Sunday) a suspect on Hagadod Havri street recognized the approach of the detectives towards him and, according to the suspicion, began to swallow the doses of the drug that were in his mouth, and as a result began to suffocate.
The detectives immediately began rescue operations, called medical forces and performed CPR on him until they arrived.
The suspect, 61 years old, was evacuated by MDA to Ichilov Hospital while CPR was performed, where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation was opened to find out the circumstances of the incident.
