New Delhi: The police went to the house of former Congress president Rahul Gandhi, asking for details regarding his speech during the solidarity yatra in Srinagar, saying, ‘Women are still subjected to sexual violence here’. This has created a stir in New Delhi.

Former Congress leader Rahul recently undertook the Bharat Unity Yatra.

During the padayatra in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar, Rahul mentioned that ‘Even now women are subjected to sexual violence here’.

The New Delhi Police have registered a case based on the news and social media reports in this regard. On the 16th, the New Delhi Police sent a ‘summon’ to him to explain his opinion with evidence.

In it, it was mentioned that ‘If you provide the details of the women who have complained, it will help to take appropriate action on their complaints’.

There was no response from Rahul. Subsequently, the police led by New Delhi Police Special Commissioner Sagar Preet Hooda went to Rahul’s house in New Delhi yesterday morning. After waiting for an hour, Rahul met them.

After that, the police returned after issuing another summons. After that, Rahul went out of his house.

After the information that the police came to Rahul’s house, hundreds of party workers gathered there. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Khelat, senior leaders Abhishek Singhvi, Jairam Ramesh and others rushed there.

Regarding this, New Delhi Police Special Commissioner Sagar Preet Hooda said: “Rahul mentioned that he does not remember properly because the yatra took place for a long time. He has said that he will gather information related to the comment he made.

Subsequently, we have issued another summons without specifying the date. If necessary, a decision will be taken later on directly questioning him. This is what he said.

The Congress party condemned the incident. Its website states: Bharat Unity Yatra is a platform for millions of women to express themselves freely.

As we have been raising questions about the businessman Adani issue, it is shameful that the central government is involved in this action with the intention of revenge. Thus it is stated.
