Government formation begins in Klaipėda: Vaitkus will unite the protest votes, and the conservatives will have a part of the lonely “overboard”?

The people of Klaipėda chose to hand over the helm of the city for the next four years to Arvydas Vaitkas, who sought power with the political committee “Ištikimi Klaipėdai”. After the victorious battle, in which A. Vaitkus crushed the conservative candidate Audrias Petrošiau, the contours of the ruling majority begin to be laid out. It is likely that the Homeland Union – Lithuanian Christian Democrats (TS-LKD) will not find many allies and will remain in the opposition.
