Amazon Layoffs: There is a lot of layoffs going on in America’s Silicon Valley right now. Tech companies are actively laying off employees citing various reasons related to financial problems and costs. Although downsizing is not new in the private sector, it takes a psychological toll on those working in the most popular companies.

Amazon’s 2nd round of layoffs confirms it. The second phase of the company’s annual planning process was completed this month and additional layoffs are expected, according to company officials.
Amazon plans to cut another 9,000 jobs over the next few weeks, CEO Andy Jassy said in a memo to employees on Monday.
The job cuts are the second largest layoffs in the company’s history, with Amazon saying in January that the company would lay off 18,000 employees.
However, it has also been revealed that Amazon is looking to hire new employees in some strategic areas.

It has been reported that the company has taken this layoff to reduce its costs while it has been said that there is not much profit in Amazon’s revenue for the past few years.
A total of 18,000 workers will be laid off this month. This is believed to be the largest number of layoffs by Amazon.
It is noteworthy that around 16 lakh people are working in Amazon company all over the world. Most of the current layoffs include those working on the Alexa voice assistant, retail sales, and human resources.
