During a lecture about the legal reform of Justice Minister Yariv Levin and Constitution Committee Chairman Simcha Rothman, political commentator Amit Segal was asked for his opinion on the matter and whether there are any parts of it that he opposes. Segal responded by stating that the main problem with the reform is that it was treated like a budget proposal, resulting in serious strategic mistakes that gave birth to the wave of protests. He added that Levin and Rothman thought the legal reform was a simple matter, but failed to understand that their actions would be taken seriously by the public and perceived as the end of democracy. As a result, Segal opposes a significant part of the reform.

Segal added: “Yariv Levin and Simcha Rothman thought that the legal reform was a goat. We will bring in a goat, then we will take it out and everyone will be happy. They do not understand that people like them, who also say 15/15 to invalidate a law, the government will also appoint all the judges, we will also dissolve the The role of the ombudsman, so people take it seriously and really feel that this is the end of democracy.”
