Motion of censure against the pension reform: what did the deputies vote?

by time news

Afternoon of suspense this Monday at the National Assembly. Until the last minute, uncertainty remained around the vote of the Republican deputies and finally, they were not enough to vote for the motion of censure tabled by the Liot group to tip the scales.

Liot’s motion of censure was only voted by 278 deputies. It is therefore rejected since it needed 287 votes for it to pass. All that was missing was “nine little voices”, regretted the Insoumise Mathilde Panot. Consequently, the text on the pension reform has been “adopted”, announced Yaël Braun-Pivet. Who voted for the motion of censure of the Liot group? Find out your MP’s vote.

Liot’s motion won unanimous support in left-wing groups. 149 deputies from the Nupes voted in favor of this motion but also the 88 deputies from the RN as they had announced upstream. On the other hand, all the Liot deputies did not vote for this motion, only 18 out of the 20 of the group.

Everything therefore rested on the shoulders of the LR deputies. 19 of them voted in favor of this motion (out of 61), ie 1/3 of the group.

Who voted for the RN motion?

A second motion of censure had been tabled by the RN, it was only voted by 94 deputies. Three LR deputies voted in favor of the RN’s motion of censure: Maxime Minot, Pierre Cordier and Fabien di Filippo but also a socialist Christian Baptiste, and two non-registered Véronique Besse and Nicolas Dupont-Aignan.
