One dead in an avalanche in Tyrol

An avalanche on the Venet near Zams in the Tyrolean Oberland claimed a fatality in the open ski area on Saturday afternoon. A police spokesman said this to the APA. The person, whose exact identity was not established, could only be recovered dead. In addition, two winter sports enthusiasts were injured in the accident, and three were rescued from the snow masses unharmed.

Six people were buried in the avalanche
