Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has retired from international cricket but is still playing in IPL cricket. The actor is still playing as the captain of Chennai Super Kings. But in the past few years, there have been reports that the actor is planning to retire from IPL.
Now, former Australian player and former Chennai Super Kings player Shine Watson has come forward saying that Dhoni will not retire from IPL anytime soon. Watson said Dhoni, who is currently 41 years old, will play three or four more seasons for Chennai. Here’s what Watson said about Dhoni’s future
“Heard this is Dhoni’s last IPL. But I don’t think so. I think he can continue for the next three or four years. He is still fit. Batting well.
His captaincy is as good as his game,” said Watson.
Suresh Raina had recently come forward with the opinion that Dhoni will be in the next season’s IPL if his form continues. Raina also assessed that Dhoni’s future seasons will be determined by his fitness and form this season. Deepak Chahar, Dhoni’s teammate in Chennai, had said the other day that he should decide when Dhoni should retire.
