In the budget speech for the coming financial year, the government boasts that it has reduced the revenue deficit from Rs 62,000 crore to Rs 30,000 crore by implementing tough reforms.

For four years, the arrears of dearness allowance for government employees and teachers have been withheld. Surrender leave in cash has been taken away.
The subsidy has been paid in three installments with a delay of six months in each installment. Due to this, teachers and government employees are very angry with the government.
Also, the budget mentions achieving the goal of eliminating the revenue deficit. This means further cheating the affected government employees and teachers.
In the budget speech, all the chief minister’s election promises, including implementation of old pensions, elimination of wage discrepancy, and livelihood demands of government employees and teachers, have been denied.
This has left government employees, teachers and civil servants feeling very disappointed.
Human chain struggle
Therefore, we expect that all the rights taken away by the previous government will come out as announcements in this budget session. Otherwise there is no other option but to continue the struggle.
