Missing People Clarifies No Beheading Incident Occurred After Joullnar

by time news

The family of Joullnar, who was found dead in Taberg outside Jönköping on Monday, is criticizing the police for their lack of involvement in the search for her. According to one of Joullnar’s sisters, the police initially believed she had disappeared voluntarily and did not organize a public manhunt for the woman. Missing People was involved, but only used their internal resources instead of calling on the public for help. Christer Nordqvist, Missing People’s operations manager in Gothenburg, explained that they worked as they usually do in cases of disappearances and relied on tips from the police and the public. They did not call for a public search because they did not have enough information to know where to search, and it would have been irresponsible to send people into an unknown situation. However, with hindsight, Nordqvist acknowledges that the situation is different.

A woman was found dead in Taberg outside Jönköping on Monday and now the missing Joullnar’s family is criticizing the police’s lack of involvement in the search for her. According to one of Joullnar’s sisters, the police initially made the assessment that she had disappeared voluntarily, and Missing people never organized a public manhunt for the woman.

According to Christer Nordqvist, operations manager at Missing people in Gothenburg, they have been working as they always do in cases of disappearances.

– We have worked as we always do, we have collected facts from the police and the public, he says.

Instead of calling in the public for a so-called search, it was only Missing people’s internal resources that were out.

“Not always that we collect the public”

– We have been out with dog groups and task leaders we work with, it is not always the case that we pick up the public, says Christer Nordqvist.

According to him, the reason why Missing people did not call in the public for a public search has to do with the fact that the information and tips they received were not sufficient to know where to search.

– Knowing where to search is always the difficult part, and if you don’t have a specific search area, it’s difficult to pick up a resource like the public. And where should I send people? It is the wrong exploitation to send the public into such a situation, he believes.

– But with hindsight, it’s a completely different situation, it’s impossible to get away from.
