The monument was created by sculptors Sadabek Azhiev and Toktaly Murzakarimov. It is reported that the height of the monument is 12 meters (together with the pedestal).
In total, 8.7 million soms were spent on the monument. According to Azattyk, entrepreneur Temirlan Sarlykbek uulu allocated the entire amount. The gold mining company Alliance Altyn allocated 1.1 million soms for the transportation and installation of the monument.
The Manas monument in Talas is a copy of the monument that was installed in Istanbul in 2017. The same monument was later erected in Ankara.
“Manas” is the largest Kyrgyz epic. It is included in the list of the cultural heritage of mankind, as well as in the Guinness Book of Records as “the most voluminous epic in the world.”
