A military exercise began tonight (Saturday) in a surprise format. The exercise will involve the Technology and Logistics Division, the Operations Division and the Land Forces. Transport of weapons and heavy military equipment throughout the country. Thousands of reservists will also take part in the exercise, who will be summoned in the coming hours, launched and absorbed into their units.
The centers of the Technology and Logistics Division, the emergency depots in the various commands as well as military police forces, the medical, technology and maintenance units in the various areas will practice in the coming days the transport of combat forces and the ground effort support through the General Staff supply centers.
The surprise exercise is extensive and is intended to examine the IDF’s readiness and competence in the areas of logistics and reserve summoning. The exercise was planned in advance as part of the exercise graph for 2021.
Brigadier General of Logistics, Brigadier General Pini Ben Moyal, said: While examining the results and conducting a lesson-learning process. The goal is to maintain the IDF’s high readiness for any scenario.
As part of the operation, about 3,500 reservists will be recruited who will be stationed in the various ETL centers, in the 162nd Division and at additional headquarters at the various levels.
