Ahuachapán will be the setting for the Pineapple Festival and the Salvadoran Tourism Institute (ISTU) is the entity in charge of promoting and stimulating family and social recreation and hiking, accompanying the festival through the happy bus service.

The event will take place on Saturday, March 25 and Sunday, March 26, at the facilities of Plaza El Bosque, Ahuachapán. The activity will begin on Saturday at 9 in the morning and will last until 12 midnight, while on Sunday it has been scheduled from 9 in the morning to 9 at night, so there is a wide margin so that you can visit this place.

The ISTU will make the happy bus service available for Sunday March 26, visiting the Sihuatehuacán Recreational Park in the morning and later the Pineapple Festival, at a cost of $8.00 per person. Additionally, for the first 40 people to arrive at the starting point, the bus will be free.

In this festival, the participation of about 50 entrepreneurs is expected, who have prepared for visitors a wide variety of cuisine, crafts and costume jewellery. Both days they will have the option to taste dishes such as: Pork loin with caramelized pineapple, pineapple tomahawk, smoked pineapple with bacon, artisanal pineapple wines, piña colada, tropical pineapple ceviche, caramelized pineapple crepe, baked pineapple pie, among another great variety.

On the other hand, the festival’s agenda also includes the presentation of different musical groups, including Banda Mala Prax, Fer Zaldívar, Garage, to name a few.
