Infosys has officially announced that Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw has retired from the board of Infosys. Kiran Mazumdar is the chairman of Biocon, a famous pharma company. He also served on the board of Infosys, India’s second largest IT company. In this case, it has been announced that he will retire from the Infosys board.

Kiran Majumdar Shah was appointed to the Infosys board in 2014. Later in 2018, Kiran Majumdar Shah was also appointed as the Chief Independent Director on the Infosys Board. Following this, he served as a member of various committees of the Infosys Board.

In this case, it has been announced that Kiran Majumdar Shah will retire from the Infosys board. Nandan Nilekani, Chairman of Infosys said, “Thank you to Kiran for being part of the Infosys family for many years. He has been a huge help since I rejoined Infosys in 2017.”

Following Kiran Majumdar Shah’s retirement, Hindustan Unilever Vice Chairman T. Sundaram has been appointed as the Chief Independent Director on the Infosys board. His tenure has started from March 23.

Company Chairman Nandan Nilekani congratulated Sundharath on his appointment as the Chief Independent Director of the Infosys Board. Sundaram has been a member of the Infosys board since 2017. He has also served on various committees of the Board.
