Bhubaneswar: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee met Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

Ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, state party leaders have embarked on an effort to form a strong alliance other than BJP and Congress.

Last week, it was reported that Delhi Aam Aadmi Party Chief Coordinator and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is trying to form a third party other than BJP and Congress and is planning to meet various state party chief ministers including DMK.

In this case, Trinamool Congress went to Odisha. President and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee met state Biju Janata Party chief and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. Sources in the Biju Janata Party said that the meeting was said to be a courtesy call, but the two discussed national politics and the alliance for the Lok Sabha polls.
