She urged opposition leaders to denounce such violence, and for law enforcement agencies to take strict action against violators. She also said that “Since the violent siege against me at the barber shop in Tel Aviv, unfortunately the violence against public figures is only increasing. Today Minister Avi Dichter was violently attacked. In recent days other ministers and ministers from Likud – Nir Barkat, Miki Zohar, Miri Regev – as well as women and Knesset members have been attacked. In the weeks The latter are hearing and publishing threats to assassinate the Prime Minister, myself and our sons, the ministers of the government such as Yariv Levin and Itamar Ben Gabir, and other public representatives. I strongly condemn these incitement and violent attacks, which have no place among us.”

Later, she called on the leaders of the opposition to “denounce the violence against public figures before it is too late. I hope that the Israel Police, the Attorney General’s Office and the Legal Adviser to the Government will take full action against the inciting and violent violators of the law. At the same time, I know that these handful of extreme anarchists do not represent the majority of Israeli citizens who are interested in dialogue, unity and compromise. I hope for that too. Unfortunately, yesterday I watched a video of one of the violent anarchists on that difficult night in Tel Aviv. That protester said he was sorry they didn’t kill me that evening. For my part, at that event, I talked to the security personnel who rescued me. I told them that I very much hope that none of the demonstrators were hurt.”
