Lhe mayor of Maturín, Ana Fuentes, accompanied more than 3,000 carriers during a comprehensive day of medical care and sale of supplies held this Thursday, March 23, at the Maturín Interurban Terminal, where the Child Care Office was also inaugurated , Girls and Adolescents.

Among the services offered in the activity to the workers of the steering wheel is the sale of tires, motor oil and auto parts; orientation of the National Fund for Urban Transport Foundation (Fontur) and the National Institute of Land Transport (INTT), road medical certificate, vehicle inspection and updating of fingerprints for the supply of fuel through Somos Venezuela.

Likewise, they were favored with medical attention in the areas of Dentistry, Ophthalmology, General Medicine, Solidarity Pharmacy, immunization and laboratory services with blood typing, hematology and prostate antigen tests.

“Together with the Sole Transport Authority in Monagas and the director of the Maturín Terminal, we are accompanying our carriers on this day of comprehensive care. Due to the guidelines that our President Nicolás Maduro has given us, as a single Government, we are offering a social day to this important sector,” Fuentes indicated.

The local president highlighted that the Maturín Interurban and Suburban Terminal Autonomous Service (Satiusum) is the center of the public transport reorganization project within the Urban Development Plan that the Mayor’s Office executes together with the carriers.

Child and adolescent care

During the day, Fuentes inaugurated the Office for the Care of Children and Adolescents, whose functions include processing travel permits and controlling the departure of minors.

This unit has a staff of 12 officials from the Protection Council and Lopna, as well as the joint work of the active transport lines within the land port.

Obelys Reyes and José Marcano, carriers who have benefited from the services offered in this event, agreed that the activity significantly favored the drivers’ union, since many of them were able to get up to date with road medical certificates, vehicle inspections, and exams. doctors.
