Hundreds of left-wing activists protested at the border of Bnei Brak for around two hours before the police opened all blockades in the area. The left demonstration ended without any remarkable incidents, with the exception of an extreme right-wing activist launching fireworks at the protestors. The police were prepared with increased forces to separate the parties, and after the demonstration, several main roads that were blocked for traffic reopened. A few dozen residents of the city distributed food and water to the demonstrators while chanting, “our brothers of Tel Aviv.” Some residents turned on powerful speakers in their homes with Jewish songs to bring hearts together, and an elderly left-wing activist burst into tears upon hearing the Shabbat melody, “Shalom Aleichem.” Police arrested three minors for possession of pyrotechnics, throwing eggs at protesters, and throwing objects at protesters, as well as two adults for assaulting brains.

The exciting documentation from the demonstration. (27a*)

In the last few minutes (Thursday) the left demonstration at the border of the city of Bnei Brak ended. The police opened all the roadblocks. Hundreds took part in the “march”, no unusual incidents were recorded except for a single case of extreme right-wing activists who launched fireworks in formation directly at the demonstrators. At the same time, a moving document was published, a left-wing activist who began to cry after hearing the sounds of “Shalom Aleichem” in response.

The demonstration was focused on the Jabotinsky-Rabbi Akiva street intersection, when the police were prepared in advance with increased forces and hundreds of policemen who made sure to separate the parties. Several main streets were blocked to traffic, now as mentioned they have reopened after the demonstration. On the other hand, several dozen of the city’s residents arrived at the scene, distributing water and food to the demonstrators while chanting “our brothers of Tel Aviv”.

An exciting project recorded in the demonstration was when dozens of the city’s residents each decided to turn on powerful speakers in their homes with Jewish songs to bring hearts together. In one of the cases, an elderly left-wing activist passed by, and when he heard the Shabbat melody “Shalom Aleichem” he stopped and burst into tears for several long moments. The residents tell about several similar incidents that happened to them with other protesters.

The unusual incident that was recorded was when some extreme right-wing activists, who do not live in the city and came for the purpose of the provocations, launched fireworks in formation directly at the left-wing demonstrators. No incidents were reported, the police did not comment on the incident and did not report any arrests at the scene. Most of the city’s residents obeyed the instruction of the elders of the generation, not to confront the demonstrators and to stay in the synagogues and yeshivas to study Torah.
