Tirupur knitwear workers work tirelessly every day. Nift-Dee College conducts annual cricket tournament to refresh the workers who are working day and night for the development of the industry and to promote friendship between the knitwear companies. In this way, the 6th NPL cricket series will start on April 2. Matches will be held every Sunday at Nift-Tee College ground. League round with 15 overs, semi-finals and finals with 20 overs are conducted. Only workers working in knitwear companies can participate in NPL and cricket. Workers working in any type of knitwear industry like domestic export garment manufacturing companies, jobwork companies can participate.
Non-workers should not be included in the team. The identity card of the particular company, last three months salary receipt, photo of the player and approval letter from the managing director of the company should be submitted. The winning team will get NPL trophy and 50 thousand rupees and the second place team will get a prize of 25 thousand rupees.
