This will help Electric Vehicle (EV) owners in Chennai to access charging infrastructure and increase convenience. All owners of electric two-wheelers and electric four-wheelers can use this fast charging network.
Speaking about the partnership, Arvind Prasad, Chief Officer, Charging Infrastructure, Aether Energy, said, “Since Aether’s inception, we have been a pioneer in building a robust ecosystem to facilitate rapid transition to electric vehicles. We have already installed more than 60 Ether Grids across Chennai and over 185 Ether Grids across Tamil Nadu.
Our tie-up with Southern Railway will allow us to set up 10 Fast Charging Centers at MRTS/suburban railway stations in Chennai and make charging accessible. This will also fulfill the visionary goal of encouraging people to switch to electric vehicles in Chennai city. This will lead to a lot of PPP (Public-Private Partnership) models and designing electric vehicle transport (e-mobility) facilities,” he said.
Aether Energy currently has the largest fast charging network for two-wheelers with over 1200 fast charging points known as Aether Grids. The company has released the IP for all OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturer) charging connectors; This has paved the way for creating a charging platform that can be used for various two-wheelers.
