Parliament intends to question the governor of Baghdad because of the east of the canal

Baghdad / Obelisk: Member of the House of Representatives, Kamel Al-Ugaili, revealed, on Monday, the start of a campaign to collect signatures in order to initiate the interrogation of the Governor of Baghdad, pointing to the number of signatories constantly increasing.

Al-Ugaili said in an interview, that “more than 30 deputies signed a request to interrogate the governor of Baghdad inside the parliament.”

He added, “There are parliamentary questions directed to the governor of Baghdad regarding the delay and the lack of projects in Al-Zawra district, as well as the delay in announcing the basic design.”

He pointed out that “according to the legal contexts, we asked parliamentary questions and started collecting signatures of members of the House of Representatives in preparation for interrogating the governor of Baghdad.”

And he announced earlier the formation of a service coalition east of the canal of deputies representing the regions east of the canal, with the aim of redressing these deprived areas.
