“There are hardly any CDU local groups in Saarland that are able to hold a festival like the Grombeerbrode. The fact that local club members also helped out shows that Hassel can draw on a well-functioning village community,” says Christian Schwarz, Chairman of the CDU Hassel. “The Catholic daycare center Herz Jesu, which has just decided to promote the French language, needs teaching materials for the pedagogical staff and the children,” says director Nina Rambaud. Because the day care center wants to support the France strategy, which is recommended and promoted by the state government. “The protestant day-care center,” emphasizes director Andrea Schuhmacher, “needs the money for a nature project that is supervised by a teacher who does not belong to the day-care center. We do nature walks and would like to set up a workshop”. The support association of the Hassel elementary school at Eisenberg has a different intention. “Mindfulness should be conveyed,” says the chairman of the association, Michael Luck. “Mindfulness towards others and towards oneself.” This requires an extracurricular lecturer. The Caritas day club “Treff em Gässje” also received a donation. This point of contact is a lifeline for the homeless. “We need the money for groceries, offer a warm meal and organize excursions,” says contact person Mathias Schappert. The parents’ initiative for children with cancer in Saarland is also back. Anne Heisel informed that the 400 euros are needed for projects in the newly built house in Homburg.
