Barcelona is experiencing a great season in everything related to the local frameworks. The victory over Real Madrid almost guaranteed it a first championship after four years, when the Catalans also recorded a 0:1 against the great rival in the first meeting of the King’s Cup, but it seems that in the second leg the team may have to manage without another one of its stars.
After the Blaugrana already confirmed that Ousmane Dembele, Pedri and Andreas Christensen will be absent from the Clasico in the cup, now the club has announced that Frankie de Jong has also injured his thigh and will be absent for the near future – which puts him in great doubt for the meeting with the Blancos.
The Dutch midfielder was summoned by Ronald Koeman to the team, but he had to give up and watch the humiliating 4:0 loss to France from home. Barcelona’s next game is on April 1st, which De Jong will almost certainly miss, with the goal of course being to prepare him for the match against Real at Camp Nou, four days later – a goal that seems unrealistic.
