Four years ago, I.I.T. While talking to students in Kharagpur, Prime Minister Modi was accused of making fun of those with dyslexia. While an IIT student was talking about developing an app to help dyslexics, Modi suddenly asked a question: ”Will this be useful for 40-50 year olds?” However, everyone soon realized that Modi was referring to Rahul Gandhi, who was then forty-eight years old. When the student responded that this age group would also benefit, Modi’s reply was: “That student’s mother, who is between 40 and 50, would be very happy.” Criticism of how insensitive the Prime Minister was speaking, neither Modi nor the BJP took it seriously.
