The Vijay Hazare domestic ODI series has been in full swing since the 8th of this month. Tamil Nadu beat Mumbai in the first match of the series and Karnataka in the second match and a hat-trick in the third match against Bengal.
The Tamil Nadu team, which won all the three matches played in the Vijay Hazare series, played against Puducherry in today’s match. The match was reduced to 49 overs due to late start. Puducherry batted first to select the toss-winning Tamil Nadu team fielding.
With the Puducherry team losing 6 wickets for 75 runs, middle order batsman Fabeed Ahmed batted immensely and scored 87 not out till the end. Puducherry scored 225 in 49 overs with his responsible batting.
Tamil Nadu were bowled out for 206 in 44 overs as rain interrupted play. Jagadeesan, the captain and opening batsman of the Tamil Nadu team, batted well and scored a fifty. Jagadeesan danced steadily at one end and the wickets fell at the other. Jagadeesan scored 64 and senior Dinesh Karthik scored 65. None other than them played big innings.
So Tamil Nadu scored 204 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 44 overs and lost by one run.
