On February 6, two devastating earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 shook several provinces in southeastern Turkey and northwestern Syria. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan described what happened as the biggest disaster in the country’s history since 1939, leaving more than 50 thousand dead.
