New Delhi: Due to the commotion over Rahul’s impeachment, both the Houses were adjourned within a minute of their commencement today.
Youth Congress protested at Delhi Jandar Mantar in support of Rahul. They tried to hold a rally. The police stopped them. Due to this, there was a push between the two sides. They then arrested them and took them away in a van. Then they went in a van chanting slogans against the central government.
In this case, Congress and its allied MPs raised the issue of Rahul when they met after a 2-day vacation. This caused great confusion. Papers and banners were thrown at the Speaker.
The Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned due to continuous shouting and chaos.
Intimidation
The opposition parties continued to protest in the Parliament premises.
Then Congress President Mallikarjuna Kharge said: We have come in black to show that Prime Minister Modi is deciding for democracy in the country. He brought the autonomous bodies under control. Then, he won the elections and brought the government under control by intimidating them. The unemployed are being intimidated by the CBI and the Enforcement Directorate. This is what he said.
Similarly, Congress MLAs wore black shirts to the Tamil Nadu Assembly. When Puducherry assembly started, Congress and DMK MLAs walked out.
