On the night of March 28, bad weather raged in the Transcarpathian region – the wind felled trees, damaged the roof and left several settlements in the region without electricity. In the evening of March 27, the Rescue Service received numerous reports of emergency events caused by worsening weather conditions. In particular, rescuers went 13 times to clear fallen trees: 10 facts were recorded in Uzhgorod District, one in Mukachevo Region and two in Khust Region.

In one of the cases, a tree fell on a parked car – the event happened on Laborets Square in Uzhhorod. Fortunately, there was no significant damage, because the branches caught the left mirror and partially damaged the paintwork of the vehicle.

Also, as a result of strong gusts of wind, the roof of the building of the furniture manufacturing shop, located on Borodina Street in the regional center, was damaged. The estimated area of ​​damage is 200 square meters. m.

In addition, the power supply was completely cut off in 9 settlements: the villages of Rativtsi, Velyka Dobron, Velyki and Mali Geivtsi, Antalovtsi in the Uzhgorod region and the villages of Dragovo, Zabrid, Lokit, and Bukovets of the Khust district. 5 villages have been partially cut off: Surte, Tiglash, Kireshi, Zagattia, Osii.
