Håkan Eriksson, a line operator at the Stockholm rescue service, reported a fire that broke out in a garbage room. The fire caused smoke to spread throughout the property. The police are conducting a preliminary investigation of the incident as an aggravated arson case. Luckily, all residents spontaneously evacuated and only five individuals sustained minor smoke-related injuries, according to emergency services. The alarm was sounded in the early hours of the morning, and the emergency services were able to put out the fire and ventilate the building by 4 AM.

– There was a fire in a garbage room and there was smoke spreading up into the property, says Håkan Eriksson who is a line operator at the rescue service in Stockholm.

The police have started a preliminary investigation on aggravated arson.

According to the police, the residents of the property spontaneously evacuated and five people suffered minor smoke damage, according to the emergency services.

The alarm came in at 01.26 in the morning and at 04 the emergency services left the scene when the fire was out and the property ventilated.
