16th IPL The cricket match starts the day after tomorrow. A new rule called Impact Player is being introduced in this IPL to add excitement and excitement to the match.

According to this, at the time of toss, each team should list the 11 players to field along with the names of 4 substitutes. One of those substitutes can be used as an impact player during the game. A team may field a substitute in place of one of the 11 players in either of the two innings. Such a substitute player can engage in both batting and bowling.

A maximum of 4 out of 11 players in the IPL can be foreign. If 4 foreign players are included then the team cannot use a foreign player as a substitute. Then only an Indian player can be brought as a substitute player. A foreign player can only be used as a substitute if there are less than 3 foreign players in the XI.

The umpire gives a ‘signal’ to bring in a substitute only when the over ends or when the wicket falls or when the batsman retires hurt. A player who replaces him when a substitute comes on, cannot take the field after that match.

After a player has bowled 4 overs, a substitute who is dismissed may also bowl the full 4 overs. This will favor the team’s excellent bowling strategy in the latter stages. Due to this, this rule has created a lot of expectation among the fans.
