At least one police officer has died and another has been seriously injured during a shooting in the town of Huntsville, in the state of Alabama in the United States.
The Huntsville Police Department has confirmed that the injured officer is in critical condition, after a confrontation with an attacker who had barricaded himself in an apartment, and that he was also injured in the confrontation with Security Forces.
Both policemen and the attacker were taken to the hospital, where one of the policemen finally died and the other underwent an emergency operation. The attacker, whose identity or motive for the incident have not yet been revealed, is slightly injured.
The agents went to the scene after receiving information about a shooting in an apartment, where they also found a woman with a gunshot wound, who is receiving treatment at the hospital, with a reserved prognosis.
