Police officers of the Modi’in station started a surveillance last night after they noticed the suspected stolen motorcycle driving wildly around the city, in violation of the traffic laws, while the policemen were following him.
During the surveillance, additional police officers blocked the suspect’s escape route on a main road near Modi’in, when the suspect was driving in their direction and finally collided with a police car. There were no casualties in the incident.
After a short foot chase, the police arrested the suspect, a resident of Iosh in his twenties, and at the end of his investigation he was imprisoned.
In accordance with the needs of the investigation, the suspect’s detention was extended today at the Israel Court of Justice until next Sunday.
