The Nutrimóviles Camp is located in Huehuetenango, to provide medical and nutritional assistance to more than 3,000 families from La Democracia, La Libertad and Cuilco. The program Guatemalans for Nutrition arrives in Huehuetenango with the promise of eradicating malnutrition.

On Sunday, March 12 at 8:30 a.m., the Nutrimóviles Camp began the 264-kilometer journey from the capital city to Huehuetenangowhere it will provide medical and nutritional care to families enrolled in the initiative.
The Nutrimóviles Camp is part of the first phase of Guatemalans for Nutrition, a social program of castle brothers. The initiative has an investment of 116 million quetzales ($USD15 million) to comprehensively address the malnutrition problem in Guatemala, it will serve families from La Democracia, La Libertad and Cuilco in Huehuetenango.
“We are very excited because the Nutrimóviles Camp will attend its first patient on March 31 and with this we will give the starting signal to work together with the families that will participate in the program to make all the changes that are necessary to guarantee a change sustainable in their nutritional health”, said José Silva, Executive Director of Guatemalans for Nutrition.
Nutrimóviles Camp in Huehuetenango
The Nutrimóviles Camp is made up of nine mobile units in which medical and nutritional care will be provided and will allow up to 50 medical and nutritional consultations per day.
With the arrival of the Nutrimóviles Camp in Huehuetenango, the five axes of the program (Primary Health Care, Nutritional Support, Water and Environmental Sanitation, Access to Food and Strengthening of the Family Economy) will begin to work as gears to achieve a true social change and of behavior that will guarantee break the cycle of malnutrition and instead build a virtuous circle of good health and hygiene practices that contribute to eradicating child malnutrition.
