Ginger is selling at Rs 100 per kg, which has gone up by Rs 30 due to reduced arrivals from Kerala.

Karthi Gajamurugan, a vegetable vendor from Virudhu Nagar Market, said:

First quality ginger grown in the Kodaku Hills of Kerala state is brought to Virudhunagar for sale in large quantities.
