The approval of the last part of the pension reform puts the retirement system at the center of the debate, with changes that have been reproduced since 2011 and that will last two more decades to avoid imbalances in Social Security.
Each year, the General State Budgets dedicate four out of every ten euros of spending to the payment of public benefits. Only in retirement pensions, Social Security pays more than 11,000 million euros per month.
