The dream boy of “Survivor” fails a simple task: to be human

by time news

And everything, it seems, is coming together towards the end: on Saturday, in front of a hall full of people, the winner of the 12th season of “Survival” in the Israeli version will be crowned. Two men and two women will compete for the million shekels: Alit Musayouf and Gal Rubin, Tal Mord and Sahar Cohen. The four will have to face a jury of 11 eliminated survivors – and they will decide their final fate.

The episode that aired yesterday (Wednesday), it must be admitted, was a bit punchy in terms of its energies. From the moment Sahar and Tal, the knotty and manly men, secured their place in the final – Gal Rubin actually also stayed (since she is in an alliance with them), which left us with the two underdogs – Aviran and Alit, who remind me of Cinderella reaching the semi-finals of the State Cup. The very fact that they are here is already a huge victory; From here, everything else is a bonus.

And this bonus fell right into Alit’s hands. Aviran Shmuel (Mantaniya!), after a glorious and even impressive path in egoistic reality terms like “Survival”, was the last – and painful – elimination just before the final. Shmuel began the journey as an underdog, almost as a curiosity, but his journey up to this moment – is undoubtedly something that cannot be underestimated. A series of heroic victories, and along the way also an act of values - the moment when he was ready to sacrifice himself for his companion, Natasha Khalil.

But at the same time, Aviran fell victim to another act of values - and that of Sahar Cohen, who, after actually dethroning Alit (in the previous round, where she was saved only thanks to the Stone of Destiny), was not ready to do it again. In a sense, Sahar dropped the ground behind anyone who claimed that “there was an alliance and he only cooperated.” Sahar fought for Alit against Tal and Gal, and in the end tipped the scales – leaving Musayouf in the game.

Alit achieves a big victory for her – I don’t think there was anyone who bet that she would make it to the finals, certainly not after all the times she was on the grill. Sometimes really fried in both directions. In front of a series of strong, fresh people and mostly younger than her – she managed to knock down almost all of them, and reach the exciting stage. Yes, Alit is definitely the Cinderella style of the sports worlds – and anything but fourth place would be a surprise – but no one thought she would make it this far either. So go find out.

It must be admitted that this episode did not do Avirn Shmuel any good. The moment when he actually had to repeat the opening of the Tal-Gal-Sahar triangle, literally beg for his life at one point – bordered on the pathetic. Aviran is a very strong man, one who has proven his strength and also a moral backbone in many moments, and it just didn’t help him to trample himself like that against the predatory trio. What’s more, it didn’t even work in the end, and so Aviran was just left in a rather sad place.

Along with Alit and Sahar who came out of this episode well – one person came out of it badly. Even very bad. And this is Tal Mord, who at the beginning of the season definitely looks like a knotty, blue-eyed dream boy, with a military career in the past, like King David. This episode mainly brought out the Goliath in him – the one who won, but is looking to run over. The moment when he got a chance and another chance to try and send an olive leaf towards Maya, ended with a painful stab.

The highlight seems to have been the moment when he was asked by Guy Zwartz “what moment does he remember from survival”. Let’s remember – this is the same man who squatted with Maya at every possible opportunity, at such a level that I swear I could hear a monkey shouting “Rebak, get a room!”. Even before the union and certainly after it, Tal rode his and Maya’s story as “the couple” (at the level of the narrative) and it also helped him carry the less simple days. And then, as soon as it doesn’t work out (and with a smile where it’s hard to miss the cynicism), he throws everything – and Maya – in the trash. what a douche

It is important to note, again, that in reality Maya and Tal are together, so some kind of mediation work was done there. But all this does not make Tal’s move any less ugly – it is no longer a “game strategy”, it is no longer a “painful removal that must be done”. It was just being human. And in this test, Tal failed; Evidence of character for the jurors who will judge him soon, and may also take this unpleasant moment to heart.

Our bet: he takes. Crescent moon, "survival" (Screenshot: Network 13)

So who will win? Predictions are usually a big thing for me, but both at the level of the jury’s reading and considering the votes of the audience (which should affect the identity of the winner), in my opinion the winner will be Sahar Cohen. Tal stood out more, Gal was a formidable character in her own right, Alit would be an exciting story – but Sahar is the only one who has all of these, plus the sympathy of a few jurors (Sapir Kashti for example), and above all, he provoked, in my opinion, the least antagonism among the public who will elect him . On the political level as well as on the business level, Sahar will be a worthy winner for this season. Now it just remains to see how much it will come true. See you on Tuesday night.
