‘Coronal hole’ as discussion; NASA has discovered a black hole in the Sun that is 20 times the size of Earth

New York: The discovery of a black hole 20 times the size of the Earth in the Sun is a big discussion around the world. NASA scientists are behind this discovery. Called a ‘coronal hole’, it can see parts of the Sun disappear. The US federal agency has issued a storm warning following the discovery.

Officials said they are monitoring the situation to assess the impact of the coronal hole on our planet. The continuous stream of charged particles from the Sun has been reported to affect the Earth’s magnetic field, satellites, mobile phones and GPS. NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) discovered a coronal hole near the Sun’s south pole on March 23.

These holes allow the solar wind to enter space more easily. They are ranked from G1 to G5. The current largest coronal hole is about 300,000 to 400,000 kilometers across, scientists said.

According to NASA, coronal holes are visible in ultraviolet and X-ray solar images and are dark regions in the solar corona. The hole appears dark because it is surrounded by cooler, less dense regions. Scientists say that these holes can develop anywhere on the Sun at any time.
