Perlmutter (80) was born in Israel and even served in the Six Day War. After the end of the war, he immigrated to the USA, where he was endowed with a shrewd business sense and thus managed to make his way from a funeral home worker to a businessman who sells companies for millions of dollars. He purchased Marvel in 1996 and in 2009 he sold it to Disney for 4 billion dollars.

During these years he took an active part in the production of Marvel films, but after the sale his power in the company was reduced. During his life, Perlmutter was and still remains a supporter of the Republican Party and donated a lot of money to the campaign of Trump, his neighbor.
