The Head of Government, Choguel Kokalla Maïga received, this Wednesday, March 29, 2023, the members of the HAC, at their head, President Gaoussou Coulibaly.

The Prime Minister in audience with the delegation of the High Authority for Communication (HAC) Mr. Gaoussou Coulibaly reaffirmed the commitment of the High Authority to the Government of the transition in order to avoid the excesses of communication.

“The HAC has set itself the task of implementing a support system for communication actors through capacity building.”

This hearing was an opportunity for the members of the High Authority for Communication to raise certain concerns, such as the provision of a seat for the structure, the facilitation of the movement of members through obtaining diplomatic passports for its members, as well as support for the adoption of certain texts governing the sector.

The Authority also wishes, with the support of the Prime Minister, to organize study missions in Benin and Côte d’Ivoire, in order to optimize its performance in the mission of media regulation in all categories.

The Prime Minister thanked the HAC delegation for all the actions undertaken. Choguel Kokalla Maïga recalled the importance of media regulation, particularly during this period of Transition, marked by an ambitious process of State Refoundation.

The Prime Minister invited the members of the HAC to record the concerns mentioned here in a memorandum, which will be the subject of particular attention within the limits of the means available.
