On Thursday, the Court of First Instance in Agadir decided to imprison two agents of the authority in the Tekiouine region (prefecture of Agadir), after convicting them in a case of extortion and requesting a bribe of 15,000 dirhams from a citizen in return for facilitating his obtaining an administrative certificate.
In the details, the court convicted the first assistant (Y, T) of participating in bribery, and sentenced him to one year in prison and a fine of 5,000 dirhams, while convicting his colleague (M, P) of fraud and insulting the judicial police officer, and sentenced him to one year in prison. And a half, with a fine of 5 thousand dirhams.
This case dates back to the beginning of this month, after the victim reported through the green number to fight bribery about the fact that he was blackmailed by two agents of the authority. Accordingly, the two involved fell into an ambush, arranged by the police in Inezgane, by order of the Public Prosecution, while they were red-handed by receiving an amount of 15 thousand dirhams from the complainant.
