Pakistan’s Ramzan food distribution center hits, rushes; 11 people including women and children died

Karachi; 11 people, including women and children, died in a stampede at a Ramzan food distribution center in Pakistan. Many people were injured.

The incident took place in Karachi. People who had come to buy food started pushing each other, due to which some fell into the nearby drain, which led to the accident, police said.

Meanwhile, SSP Ameerullah said that two people got electrocuted after stepping on the electric line at the place, which led to panic and stampede. Due to the rush of people, the wall collapsed and two children and two women fell into the drain. With this, the death toll in a stampede at free food centers in Pakistan has risen to 22.
