Pakistan: People flock to buy free ration items

Pakistan has been facing severe economic crisis for the past few months. Due to the economic crisis, food shortages have also occurred. There is a problem in getting food items like rice and wheat which are needed by the people.

In this case, free ration items were distributed by a charitable organization in the Sindh Industrial Estate area of ​​the country’s Karachi province. Hundreds of people flocked to buy the ration items.

Then, suddenly there was a crowd. Due to this, many people, including children, fainted and collapsed. The unconscious people were rescued and admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

However, a total of 11 people including children and women died due to suffocation in this crowd. The police registered a case in connection with the incident and arrested the administrators of the charity organization for distributing free ration items without proper security arrangements.
