Kashi: With just weeks to go before the announcement of elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Modi) and the BJP have launched a campaign to retain Uttar Pradesh (Uttar Pradesh Election 2022). The Prime Minister, who is in Varanasi to inaugurate the Kashi Vishwanath Temple Corridor, is leading the activities. Modi will return to Delhi today after attending a meeting of BJP chief ministers. The BJP Chief Ministers Meeting is held from 10 am to 2 pm. After that, Modi will attend the 98th anniversary celebrations of Sadhguru Sadafaldio Vihangam Yog Sansthan at Swarved Mandir. Return to Delhi in the evening.

The BJP is also moving towards the goal of unifying the Hindu vote by inaugurating the Kashi Corridor. It is noteworthy that the BJP gave the same importance to the inauguration of the Kashi Corridor in UP as it did to the laying of the foundation stone for the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Narendra Modi inaugurated the new corridor connecting the Kashi Vishwanath Temple with the Ganga Nandi yesterday. Modi inaugurated the corridor at a function attended by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In his inaugural address, Modi slammed the opposition for saying that Kashi had regained its past spirit. Modi said that Aurangzeb had tried to destroy the history and culture of Kashi and that no one could destroy Kashi anymore.

Modi’s move in Varanasi came after a visit to the Kalbhairava Temple. Modi, accompanied by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, reached the banks of the Ganges in a boat and greeted the people who had gathered on the banks. He was later baptized in the Ganges in a red robe. After that he attended the poojas at the Viswanatha Temple. Varanasi witnessed a grand opening ceremony. During his inaugural address, the Prime Minister said that the development of important temples in the country, including Guruvayur, would be ensured. Modi did not forget to lay flowers and congratulate the construction workers in Varanasi.
