Berset criticizes cantons for schools and boosters
Booster vaccinations that are too slow, measures in schools that are too lax: the health minister is increasingly losing patience with the cantons. They admit: “There is a crunch in the beams.”
The tensions between the Confederation and the cantons are noticeably increasing, and the questions are becoming more pressing. What do the authorities intend to do about the difficult Corona situation in schools? Several members of the National Council wanted to know about this from Federal Councilor Alain Berset during Question Time on Monday. In his answers he brought his Clearly expressed displeasure with the cantons.
The Federal Council got the cantons in November «unmistakable» urged to resolve the expansion of the mask requirement in schools. He also repeatedly asked the cantons to make repetitive tests mandatory in schools. «This is the only way to quickly identify and combat outbreaks», noted Berset.
