A strong earthquake shook Indonesia this morning. According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), this is 7.6 on the Richter scale.
The quake struck 95 km north of Maumere, Indonesia. No damage was reported from the quake. A tsunami alert was issued for the quake. Frequent earthquakes in Indonesia are caused by the movement of plates.
