Monza, 2 April. (time.news) – The second PizzAut restaurant is inaugurated today, on the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day, and in the presence of the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella. The opening of the restaurant, located in via Philips 12, in Monza, is a new and very important stage in the path of PizzAut, which in just six years since its foundation has reached and doubled its goal. After the Cassina de’ Pecchi restaurant, opened on May 1st 2021, defying the pandemic, today we take a step forward.
PizzAut in Monza is much more than a workplace, it is a space of social inclusion, training and progressive autonomy for boys and girls. In fact, in the Monza restaurant, in addition to the pizzeria, there will be space for independent living gyms, i.e. two apartments where the kids will be accompanied on a gradual path of autonomous life experience. Furthermore, the lessons of the PizzAut Academy will be held in the 222 m2 kitchens, a training model that aims to prepare new professionals to be included in the world of work in the near future, in future PizzAut but not only. When fully operational, the restaurant will employ 25 people, and the new employees will be immediately involved. Today Beatrice and Gabriele were hired, who will sign their permanent contract in the presence of the President of the Republic.
PizzAut therefore proves to be a great laboratory of social inclusion, a visionary project that comes to life thanks to the commitment of many people and companies, the #100Mattoni, who have supported Nico Acampora on this journey. The #100 Mattoni are nothing but people and companies that are concretely committed to a future where inclusion is normal. “They should have been 100 but they have become almost 130, there are so many #bricks, in the sense of big madmen, who believe it is possible to build a more inclusive future – underlines Nico Acampora, founder of PizzAut -. Also thanks to them, the PizzAut space here in Monza is much more than a restaurant, it is a space where our kids can experience the first forms of housing independence and where other new professionals can train”.
And he continues: “Today PizzAut hires Beatrice and Gabriele, but we are still at the beginning of our dream, we would like a PizzAut restaurant to open in every city, and even more, we would like it to become ‘normal’ in the future to hire pizza makers and autistic waiters in any club, because our boys and girls are first of all people who deserve to live actively in society, and above all they are hard workers”.
