In Kuwait, the renewal of employment records of expatriates has been stopped. The decision is a part of the ongoing checks and other things as a part of solving the imbalance of native and foreign population in the country and controlling the labor market.

The Manpower Committee authorities have temporarily stopped the renewal of the work permit document. Records of those working in finance, banking, accounting and other fields cannot be renewed.

The authorities are taking drastic action after finding discrepancies between the validity of academic certificates of many expatriates and the status held under the work permit document.
